YOUR PISTOL SHOULD HAVE EITHER Parkerized or DU-LITE finish not blue or black, The bottom lug should have 2 LETTERS on the left bottom lug S P OR HS HIGH STANDARD BARREL OR EVEN F FLANNERY BARREL. Pictures are the best way for us to help You with small parts and grips.

It's not possible to make any gun original again. They are only original once. The best that you can do is a quality refinish job.

Unfortunately, your gun is beyond that. Bubba has polished the frap out of it. Notice how the sharp edges are wavy & the flats are rounded.

But, it may still be commercially refinished so that it resembles an arsenal rebuild; you may or may not need to put in a new barrel. "Chuckindenver" (molinenorski@msn.com ) does a good job on this kind of work; if it were mine, I'd send it to him.

Yours may not look as nice as my commercially refinished R-R (see below), but it should look passable.

Yea, bubba got ahold of it. It has a Flannery barrel. Thanks for the info. Think I'll at least try and get it somewhat back.

Mmnyers is corect. You only go around once. With that said, I own Precision Gunsmithing Corp and we do reproduction finishes on WWII pistols as well as series 70 Colts. I can parkerize your gun and even put the green into the finish. It will not be original but it will look closer than it looks now. Several of the parts were blued and I re-blue those parts. 217-585-1911 gunsmth45@aol.com
