Springfield XD 40 Sub-compact

I was going to buy one of these guns but was told that they have a problem of jaming up every once and awhile.Have you every heard of this.I realy like the looks and feel of this gun what do you think. Thanks

    Welcome to the forum

    My wife has an XD-9sc and it has operated flawlessly since the day she bought it. I have a couple XDs in the 4" length and they have also functioned perfectly.

    Marc1301 has the XD-40sc and I'm sure he will chime in with his recommendation.

    I have had my XD40SC since Nov/Dec 2004. I have carried it as my personal defence pistol for more than three quarters of the time since then (I spent some time outside the country, and I have other guns that are good carry guns as well). I have no problem trusting mine every day, and have not had it jam up on me at all. ever.

    same here, i have the XDSC40 and carry it daily and shoot it every time i go shooting, so far its been fine.

    I also have an XD40SC that has never given me a seconds worth of trouble in almost 3 years. I would HIGHLY recommend this gun to anyone. Great trigger, quick acquisition for second shot, very manageable recoil, feels great in the hand, and you get all that cool stuff with it too![:D]

    Congrats, hope you like it as much as I do my XDs.

    Once you shoot it post a range report over in general discussion. There a bunch of XD lovers here, and we always enjoy hearing from others that like them. Of course those that like Glocks or 1911s will come out and raz you that you should have purchased a 1911... But we know you bought the right pistol[:D]
