    It's marked "Deringer". The "r" is lightly struck. That's all I can tell you.
    There is the possibility it's a real Deringer.

    Not a lot of additional info but: Deringer type pistols are a class all their own - the real ones of the 1850-60 period. There are modern copies. Yours looks old and real (a real copy) but it would take a hands-on exam to validate it. Flayderman lists values from a few hundred to a few thousand depending on condition, size, maker, etc. Some of the copies of the period rival those made by Deringer in collector value. There were many makers who copied them and many versions of the name, such as double 'r' spelling and with/without the final 'r'. Yours was probably marked Deringe by a single piece die - and the maker added the final R afterward. If real, guestimate value around $800.
