It is a put together piece parts "Frankenchester".
The serial number dates it to March of 1914. The forend stock is very ill fitting to the receiver and the nose cap, and it has been refinished. The barrel shows clear signs of being "wrenched on" with an ill fitting tool. There are way too many rough edges and dings on various parts of the receiver group. It is not what it is beig advertised to be.0 -

I know where that rifle came from, years ago a used car salesman tried to sell that rifle to me. I didn't, and still don't know a great deal about rare 94s, but I thought then it wasn't right. You could see the marks where the barrel was changed. That was atleast 25-28 years ago. Small world.
