Win 42 value
An acquaintance has a WIN 42 he wants to sell and doesn't know what is a fair asking price. I have researched here and else where for prices but nothing compares to this situation, plus it seems most everyone feels their gun is worth more than most people are willing to pay, judging from the lack of bids. The gun is 1933 manufacture and has been reblued and stocks refinished. The screws on the right side of the receiver are badly boogered. The polish job was nicely done with virtually no dished out screw holes or totally obliterated stampings, but they are definitely lighter. He is not going to "fire sale" it, but does want to sell and realize as much value as possible.
Thank you for any help anyone can give us.

Ask your friend to list it on GB. You both might be surprised. Be sure to have quality pics. That always helps. 0 -
Reblued guns usually sell for about 60% of the price of the same gun left in original 30% condition. Collectors would rather have an honest old shotgun than a bubba redo, IMHO. 0
