    First Winchester slide action Black powder only and 2&5/8 inch shells not 2&3/4 inch model1893 I for one would think this would be CAS legal but suggest you contact CAS directly on their web site. BUT I would not shoot this shotgun.

    The 1897 and Communist Chinese copies thereof are the only pumpguns allowed by SASS. The 1893 and a modern thing called the 93-97, basically a 97 action with the more open 93 receiver for fast loading are not allowed. Neither are Marlin hammer pumps. Nor a Spencer or Burgess for that matter.

    NCOWS DOES allow the 1893 reproduction. I think they would allow the original but it is not nearly as strong a gun as the 97 and should be limited in loads as PS says.
