What particular info are you looking for. In general the 22 Ackley Bee is the improved version of the 218Bee which is the classic 25-20 necked down to 22cal. Cartridges of the world has a good write up on both Bee's. Both Bee's are good mid range lite varmint cartridges that use mostly 45g and 50g slugs as most vintage barrels have twist rates about 1:14 or more. It is one of those classic rounds that gives alot of performance with small doses of powder but because of the lite bullets doesn't retain energy well for long range shooting. Because it is a rimmed case it is/was often chambered in single shot rifles as rimmed cases extract well in that format.... 0 -
I have a chance to buy a martini cadet in 22 Ackley bee. I don't have any loading info. And would like to find case info. thanks 0 -
If I'm not mistaken you should be able to fire factory Bee in the Ackley chamber. Velocity and, possibly accuracy, will be degraded somewhat but you end up with your fireformed A.I. brass. If you had a source of 25-20 brass you could also neck it down to .22 and then proceed as above.

A 22 Ackley Bee Martini Cadet, well sporterized, in good condition would be a great addition to any rifle collection. But, look it over real good before putting your money up. One of my buds, that is into single shot rifles, bought one at a gun show several years back. The story was that the bore just needed cleaning and the price was too good. Cleaning didn't clean it up so it is now a project rifle that needs to be sleeved or have the barrel replaced, oh well..... 0 -
