Why are the mounting holes for the ejector .015" off center to each other? The pins on the ejector are also off .015" to each other.

Why is there a half degrtee taper down the top of the slide. It is called out as .0085TPI ( taper per inch)

Hello I have been studying 1911 Pistols for many years .I am sure that there are still thousands of things I still do not know. But I will have to say I have never seen any answers on how each machining measurement came to be what it is today. I take it you bought a 80 % frame and are trying to finish the job from a set of drawings . AM I CORRECT[?] 0
