1100 magnum help!
I have a Remington 1100 12ga magnum and i recently bought a slug barrel that only shoots 2 3/4" shells and i want to know if there is a way to make the receiver eject the smaller shells?

I friend of mine had one that it worked with both 3" and 2 3/3" 0 -
slug loads are pretty stout It should eject them. Nothing to do with length 0 -
The gun ejects 3" shells fine but when i put the slug barrel on it will not eject the 2.75 shells. The shells are winchester 1oz rifled slugs at 1600fps. At 80 yards all three shots are touching so i really dont want to buy another barrel just eject the emptys. 0 -
Open up the gas ports. 0 -
perhaps the gas ports are just plugged and dirty . Easy to clean. My mag shoots and ejects 2 3/4 breneke slugs flawlessly 0 -
small drill bit or pipe cleaners to clean out gas ports 0 -
also make sure you have the rings and 'o' ring on properly 0 -
I had similar problem. If cleaning the ports doesn't work buy a set of "0" rings. That's what I ended up doing and it worked. Pay atention to how the old ones were installed. The set up I bought was somewhat different but did the trick. 0 -
Thanks to everyone who replied! The problem was the o rings and gun is shooting great! Thanks 0
