Winchester pre-64 model 94

Thanks for your information on the Winchester 1894 rifles and carbines. I just looked at the numbers and confirmed that the Win. 94 that was passed down from my Grandfather was made in 1961 which is the year I was born. I thought that was neat. Thanks again.
It is not a particularly pretty gun or in good shape. Most of the blueing is gone off the receiver and the stock is dented and scratched from being carried in the woods or riding around behind the seat of his pick up. It has killed more deer than most people would believe if I could come up with a number. I have hunted with him and helped him drag several deer out of the woods. I cherish this old rifle like no other possession I own. It is not for sale and no one could offer me enough money to get me to sell it. I will someday pass it to my son or daughter.
