    I like the 760 better. It's in a fine caliber that's easy to shoot well. It's getting harder to find a 760 in .243 in the condition you describe as they have been discontinued for a good while. Plus the .243 has spent a lot of time with your Grandad, and that history makes it priceless.

    Shoot the "6" I like to shoot old guns. Maybe because I am old also.

    Whatcha gonna use it for? Nostalgia? Both have lots for you and you you can't go wrong with either. If you plan to hunt deer in the same manner your successful Grandpa did, then take the .243. If you plan to use it for a variety of game/situations, the .270 is suitable to more variations in game/distance than the .243. Either way, you'll come out a winner.

    The 243 760 are starting to go up in value plus i'm a push over for a good 760 have over 20 of them

    For those unknowing, the "Six", is the fancy version of the successor to the 760, the 7600. so the "Six", is the newer of the two. The 243 has more sentimental value it percieves, and will kill deer, just as dead as the 270. If you can have just one...go with the 243...not as many of them around as the 270 either.
