Condition is good (8 out of 10 range) all numbers match, that is the numbers on the bolt, barrel and stock. Are there more numbers?

Kind of what I was thinking/ Sell it HERE and support the website.0 -
There is a big difference depending upon whether the finish is original, or the rifle has been arsenal refinished. If you don't know how to tell, you will need to post photos.

What year is it and which arsenal, Tula (Star) or Izshevsky? Is the stock laminated or solid wood? Does it have any rebuild marks (small box with a slash through it)? A 1949 is worth a lot more than others made 1950-55.On a rebuilt SKS the bolt is often painted and the bayonet may be blued. An unaltered and non-rebuilt SKS is worth more than rebuilt ones in a laminated stock. Generally, prices on carbines marked 1950-55 run from a low of $275 to a high of $500, depending on condition. A 1949 one is in a class by itself and is rarely seen. Make some good pictures and sell it here on gunbroker and it will bring what it is worth. Go to this link for some great information on SKS's.
