AR 15 mag follower

    All this is from memory, haven't done it in nearly twenty years,,,

    There's a small hole in the bottom of the floor plate. Use a small punch to depress the flat spring in there and slide the floor plate out, it doesn't take much force, just enough to release the floor plate. Work the mag spring out with a side to side motion being careful not to twist or stretch the mag spring as you work it out.
    The spring should tip into a recess in the bottom of the follower.
    Reassemble in reverse order making sure to keep the follower properly oriented to the mag.

    I don't know what brand of magazine your dealing with or the follower's design, but when replacing any magazine spring inspect it to determine if one end's coils are larger than the other.

    The larger end goes to the bottom of the mag tube to prevent binding as it compresses.
