1886 Winchester ??
What is this gun worth? I know the photos are bad but I am told it has not bee refinished. I am thinking about taking a drive tomorrow and picking it up.

Nice but I think Bert H not me should give a range of value. 0 -
When was it made...........wow if truly unaltered (Bluing looks real good[;)]) Hope ya steal It, I paid 1900 for a complete un altered gun circa pre-1900. with very little case hardening remaining. Bert said It was very reasonable, Hope it works out for ya man would love to see your collection some day. 0 -
You were not kidding about the quality of the pictures. I sure wish people were better at understanding the limitations of most digital cameras.
It would help to know what the serial number on that Model 1886 Sporting Rifle is (pre-1899 or post-1898), as that has an effect on the value.
The missing rear sight is an automatic $300 deduct. That said, if it truly has not been fooled with, and it has a very good bore, it is worth at least $2500 in that caliber. If it turns out to be an Antique (serial number <118647), you can add another $500 to that.0 -
Looks like a fine example. Good luck Todd. 0
