03 Springfield?
I have a military barrel made I believe for the 03 Springfield but it is parkerized (green) and marked USMC with the date code I think 1943. I am away from home and don't have my reference material available. Can anyone provide info on this barrel as to who made it and for what specific purpose.

It was made as a WW2 replacement barrel by Sedgley for the US Marine Corp. The Marines repaired quite a few 03 rifles; if used, it may well have the characteristic marks from the USMC armorer's 3-jaw vise.

Very good, thanks for the info. This one appears to be new unused. No signs on wear on the shank threads or the feed ramp. The throat looks perfect and the green parkerizing is still light colored not having been exposed to dirt and such. Any idea as to value? 0 -
You can't tell bore wear by looking. You need to measure the muzzle with a muzzle wear gauge.
If new, it should bring $150-200.
