Sounds like a mechanical problem, just be sure you are shooting the correct ammo.

Make sure it is a 30-30 if that is the ammo you are using and not a .32 Winchester Special. The rounds are similar but I don't know if either will chamber and fire in the other so double check.

Good luck. Let us know what you find out.

that was my first thought. I can shoot 30-30 in my .32 winchester,(didn't mean to) but i never tried the reverse. the 30-30 bullet is .308, so there's not much difference on that end, but the .32 bullet is longer.

Hold yer horses !!!! a 32 Win. Special bullet measures .321 in diameter, if you tried to put that down a 30-30 bore heaven help you.

I'd check the ctg guides and the rest internals. Somebody may have taken it apart and didn't get the assembly part quite right. Also check the mag follower.

Just make sure that you are shooting RNFPs...round nose flat points, made for use in tubular magazines. Sharp pointed bullets may catch the tip as they move from the magazine to the chamber, not to mention that they may fire each other under recoil in the magazine, as the point contacts the primer ahead if it. OAL should be roughly 2 1/2 inches to cycle properly. BT
