Best alloy for small bore Bronze cannons
Both are real close in composition but I would like to ask the builders out there.
Silicon bronze?
or
Navel Bronze?

Perhaps you should email Zink and ask him directly?
I've made a Mountain Howitzer (32 cal) and a Naval Cannon (40 cal) from 360 brass.0 -
I believe it's "naval."
Either will work for small guns.0 -
i have cast a few out of bearing bronze with great results...made a few gold ball mortars out of high quality brass as well..the bearing bronze had a bursting strength of 40,000 psi and was aircraft quality 0 -
yes.., it is "Naval", and if you collect enough cartridge brass, you can have a full size replica 6 pounder, 3" bore Naval Cannon cast that will weigh in at 1,200- 1,500 pounds
this is pretty similar to mine:
mine has a longer "Tiller Handle", 24" long, 1" bore. fun to shoot0 -

What are you looking at buying Francf? I myself want to get a parrot replica but cost is about 10G.0 -
I have some scrap bronze round stock at work and been thinking about turning it in the lathe. Nothing to serious just messing around. 0
