    Don't need a FFL for just a barrel.

    Not likely will the scope hold zero from one barrel to another, unless your extremely lucky.

    Yes, barrels are un-regulated on a *federal* level. State or local laws may differ.

    Moving a scope from one barrel to another and have it "on"? If it happens, buy a lotto ticket ...

    As stated, you can buy a barrel, and don't need a FFL.

    Also, I have tried moving one scope from barrel to barrel, and it did not work for me. The scope always had to be zeroed for the new barrel it was switched to. Albeit they were somewhat close, within 4-5 inches at 100 yards usually.

    however, if you scope each barrel, the barrel and scope combination can be removed from the reciever, and returned later, and still be on the money.
