"I'm not questioning missouri laws, just what the proper behavior is at a gun show there."

Contact the folks that are running the gun show.

Many gun shows have a "no loaded gun" rule (different then law) do to dumb people having AD's. So even though you may be legal to CC in MO they may have a rule against it.

Most gun shows have a "check in" for guns where they verify it is unloaded then zip tie the gun in a way it can not be loaded. Sure you can just cut the zip tie if needed though. Once you are in the show carry as you choose.

I go to all the kc area shows and they all have a person at the door puting a ziptie band thru the open action so all can see the gun is unloaded. do not try to cc inside the show, bad idea!

And just why is it a bad idea to CC inside but not elsewhere?

    EDIT:

If they find out you are cc you will probably be shown the door. The no loaded gun rule probably applies to cc too.

Exactly. IF you are caught you get to leave. Works for me.

unless i have to clear a metal detector, no one would know i'm carrying. just like any other time i'm carrying concealed.

I don't have any problems with the zip ties, just want to keep my hands free (for shopping, eating etc). i'll probably carry OWB, or maybe just stuck in my belt.[:0][:D]

No problem carrying in a holster, box, case or whatever. They will check for the firearm to be unloaded at the entrance to the show and place a zip tie through the action.

Most gun shows will let you carry as long as a shell is not in the chamber.

Would someone explain to me a situation in which a person should draw and fire a concealed carry firearm inside a gun show. With the crowd of people it seems that a shot fired would have a high risk of hitting an unintended target. If some demented person decided to start shooting the crowd would surely overpower him. I was present at the Wanenmacher show in Tulsa when a fool reloaded his pistol that had been unloaded when he entered the show. He was attempting to reinsert the pistol in his waist band, I believe behind the back, when the pistol discharged and hit a bystander in the leg. I am a retired law enforcement officer. For 30 years I carried a loaded pistol everywhere I went except for in jails and prisons yet I see no need to have a loaded concealed weapon inside a gun show.
