Not many of them are around. Came in toward the end of of the Chinese SKS deluge, just before Slick Willie cut them off. Because of this their might be some collector interest, making them more valuable then ordinary Chinese SKS's.

Don't recall them coming with scopes though? If the scope is a aftermarket add on, probably would affect collector value.

SKS's have gone up in value quite a bit in recent years. You might check the on-line auctions for current fair market values that SKS's are actually selling for. Add $50/$100 for the shorty, if the scope and mount are factory original.

quote:Norinco was undeterred; they simply deleted the bayonet and its attaching lug and went on selling the SKS on the American market. By now they were pushing for the sporting and utility market; the so-called "Paratrooper" model was fitted with scope-sight rails and advertised as the "Cowboy Companion" while a full-length model, equipped with target-type sights and a 5-round magazine, was sold as the "Hunter."
They were sold with a mount and scope. Here's a pic of the mount.

The proper scope and mount for the CC rifles is a little rare and have sold for as much or more than rifle itself. A complete CC has a value to a SKS collector. If you ask here several members will give you all the information you are looking for: http://www.sksboards.com/smf/index.php
