Can someone tell me the year of manufacture for my new (to me) revolver was made? Serial # 502-72xxx

  Thanks. Has anything changed in the design? I guess what I'm looking for is when did the lawyers input go into account?

  i do not think there has been a change to design since intruduced my personal 1986 looks like a 2011

  Internally they have not changed but if you are talking about the warning banners on the barrel thats been there a while--some of the newer Ruger guns they have moved the location to under the barrel/made 'em smaller. All those warnings were intentionally added by Ruger(forced to) because of jackasses who didn't know proper gun safety and had accidents--mainly from the old pre transfer bar safety Blackhawks and sued Ruger.
