Marlin 783 Walnut Stock. Wants a Shiny Finish

What coating should be applied to a completely stripped walnut stock?
He wants the finish to be shiny. Is there an aerosol that can be used?
Also should some type of oil be applied first? The stock looks dry.

  EITHER TRU-OIL SPRAY OR CEM-PAC SPRAY (BOTH AVAILABLE FROM BROWNELLS), WITH TRU-OIL, YOU CAN APPLY SEVERAL COATS OF LIQUID FINISH 1st AS A 'FILLER'.
