Ok, I got the Onyx today. Its a good looking gun. Nice engraving, well fitted walnut stock all combine to make a nice looking shotgun. Its made in Turkey by Kayban(I might have misspelled as its tiny to read). I really like the deep dark finish that the gun has on it. Comes with 5 chokes for the barrels. I only found it in the 2008 calender. Maybe Mossberg needs to rethink offering this gun, its very well made for the money. Does anyone have any experience with it? It will Jan before I get off crutches and can go hunting with it.
It moves similar to my Ithaca Flues, I am hoping I have a winner here.

    Mossberg,
I havent been able to find any info anywhere on the gun. Where did you hear about the firing pins. I am not suprised, as firing pins seem to break on doubles sometimes. I have replaced one set on my fathers double.

I did, that seems to be the problem with the Silver reserve over and under for a while. Havent read a thing on the Onyx side by side. O well guess I get to find out and report back, pretty neat gun so far.

Likely no different in the internals only the external looks.
