Browning Superposed Lightning

I received a 1984 Browning Superposed Lightning unfired in box in perfect condition for Christmas. Beautiful gun and I'm very happy with it but I'm not familiar with the gun and would like any info about the gun. I see they were made for many years.

I looked it up on GB and found a wide range of prices. Are there different grades that would make one more valuable than the others? Are certain years worth more than others?

Could anyone value a perfect condition 1984 unfired with box?

    EDIT #1 Superposed production was resumed in Belgium on a custom basis $$$$$ in mid 80's. I believe it was continued until quite recently?

    The "Salt Wood" guns were produced for 5/6 years from the late 60's to early 70's approximately.

    Ok...I'm guilty. I've been on this forum enough to know that was going to happen. I know good pics are required.

    I just have not had time to take them. I thought a perfect unfired gun would describe it enough for a good valuation.

    There are indeed different grades of the Superposed. Some are worth considerably more than others. Sale or bid prices on gunbroker are what are meaningful. Minimum bids and reserve prices meaning nothing except what the seller hopes to get for the gun.

    What gauge is it?
    A twelve gauge can be a difficult sell. For what ever reason I feel they are way undervalued. A mint 12 gauge Superposed can usually be bought for substantially less than a Citori. And a Superposed is far superior. Very seldom have I seen a 12 gauge sell for over $1200.00-1400.00.
    A 20 on the other hand in as new in the box condition will generally start at $2500.00+ and go up from there.
    410's and 28ga. are super desirable and certainly bring alot more than either the 20 or the 12.
    Of course, there are other factors to consider such as long tang, round knob vs. short tang flat knob, or salt wood guns, added recoil pads, barrel lengths and chokes.....
    Good luck! I know I would love to see photos!! To me, there is nothing like a Superposed!

    It is a 12g. Original with no chokes or recoil pads. Not sure the barrel length. I'll check when I get home.

    Ithought the super posed was stopped being made about 30 years ago and I believe the salt wood problem was about 50 years ago..

    Or am I dreaming again?
