hi can anyone tell me what year this gun is. colt government mk iv series 70 1911

  I cant find any SERIES 70 starting with a small fr or ending in a small e. Matter of fact cant ever find any WITH caps FR or E are you sure you don't have a Parts gun made from a Clone 1911 with a Colt slide. Does the frame have any other marks like a VP proof on the side of trigger guard or a address on the frame.

  Your serial number indicates that your frame is a Series 80. If your slide reads "Series 70", then you have a mismatched pistol. Not sure about the exact year.
