LC NM brass

Picked up some '60's vintage NM ammo in .308 and 30-06. When reloading I found no primer crimp as the Mil. version.

Is this common with all NM brass?

  That is why everyone loved NM brass. I have some in my collection that are 30-06 blanks.

  Still need to respect the heavier construction of mil-spec brass and avoid max loads that would work in commercial brass.

  I often hear that military brass is heavier/thicker than commercial brass but that is not always the case. SOME military brass is heavier than SOME commercial brass. Weigh it and see.

  I have seen WCC 223 brass and commercial Winchester 223 brass that weighted exactly the same.
