If you mean like a b-square type no they will not swap.

Mossberg started producing drilled and tapped recievers that will take either a rail or a weaver type base. Which will swap easy enought if the 870 is also drilled and tapped.

Yep the B-square goes off hole location on reciever.

I can say without looking they are not going to be the same.

Own a Rem 870 & 1100 & Moss 500. Buy yourself a mount for the Mossberg. The Mossberg mount uses a bolt on the rear but a different arrangement for the front (a machine screw/and a special nut). The holes in a Rem mount are 2" OC and both low on the receiver. Thr holes in a Mossberg mount are 4 3/4" apart with one behind the trigger and one high on the reciver opposite the ejection port. The Rem mounts I have just don't have the metal extending that far forward to work.

It really isn't worth the effort to try and convert a Rem mount to a Mossberg. If you did, it would be easy. Perhaps you're a machinist that capable of doing precision work. I can't.
