there are 2 versions, one uses a 2 piece feed throat, the other a 1 piece; they are not interchangable. they do not make parts for either any more. I had to fix one several years ago and got the LAST one Jack First had. While I applaud what you are doing, it is just an exersize in frustration.

Toss it and get a Remington 870 and be done with banging your head against the wall.

JES.....I admire your gumption and "gogetthem" attitude. I have a Winnie 1400 and love it although many on the GB Forum don't. Mine is a later one (#4392XX) and has a lot of ducks and geese to its credit on the MD and DE marsh over the years. It sits proudly in one of my gunracks and is my "go to" gun when I go the blinds (although not as much as I did in the past). Good luck to your efforts!

I have almost lost the battle. Merry Christmas to me. poop

You don't happen to have a photo of the underside of your gun do you? If I try to seat this 1 piece mag throat I am out more money. (See Link)I need a 2 piece, no 2 ways about it and I have searched begged called, pleaded. I am a little disgusted now but hey it is life

    Thanks Gary
