redfield vs burris

redfield revolution 3X9X40 accurange or Burris fullfield II ballistic ret. They are pretty close in price, what is your choice, thanks. Going on a 257 weatherby mag.

  Have them both. Either is a fine choice, but if I had to choose I would take the Refield. Dropped one of the new Redfields I have mounted on a Remington approximately 2.5 feet onto a hardwood floor. Scope landed squarely on the top when it hit the floor. Hit so hard the power ring would not turn. Thought this one will definitely have to go back to Redfield. If it has to go might as well see if I can free it up. Wrapped towel around power ring, used channel locks get it free and he focus to turn. Out of curiousity I thought I would see how far off it was from when I last shot it. When I took it to the bench it was still dead on, 1 inch high at 100 yds. I could not believe it, have seen burris and other scopes dropped and banged with far less force and they required being sent back. Like I said either is a good choice and good service from either company, but from this experience i do prefer the Redfield.

  Burris, but save for the Signature Select.

  Burris. And while the signature is better than the fullfield is is also more money.

  Either would be my vote. Burris has always been good in price and value of quality for whatever grade you buy and the new Redfields really impress me.

  Thanks for all response. This has been my conclusion as well, both have upside. To have defenders of both makes me feel I really cant go wrong either way, thanks again and hope Santa brings all you want. Merry Christmas.
