Norinco 213 magzine question
i would like to know if a person can use the regular TT33 mags to substitute in the 9mm Norinco 213 that takes the wide mags with the spacer in the mag. the reason i am asking is i am now down to 1 magazine and every place i look is out of the mags or is not looking to have them till next year.

The standard Tokarev pistol magazine is made for the 7.62 X 25/.30 Mauser cartridge. This cartridge has a loaded length 1/4" longer then the 9mm Luger. Even though the magazine might fit the Chinese Toke, feeding 9mm ammo might be a problem. That's why there is a spacer in back of the Chinese Toke mags, made for the 9mm Luger. 0 -
The 213 has a pinned in magazine spacer to enable narrower 9mm mags to be used.
Nothing to lose by trying a 7.62x25 mag.
Some say they work but I haven't proven it out to my satisfaction.
I have a couple of 7.62 mags with a spacer in the rear that didn't work for me but I didn't do exhaustive tests.
You may find 7.62x25 mags work with full length, round nose, 9mm FMJ ammo but not with shorter HP or TC bullet styles or you may be lucky.
I suspect small variations between various Tokarevs may be in the feed lip section of the hammer assembly housing because some of mine are great feeders and others aren't.
Are you indicating you don't have a spacer in the mag well?
If not, Gunparts had them.0 -
i dont have the spacer in the mag well,
tripple K will have them in 60-90 days but there close to 40 a pop.
for 15 im going give it a try and see what happens worst that happens is i have a bunch of tt33 mags lol0 -
I don't have a spacer in the 9mm and I don't have special mags. The Mauser C96 was made during the war in 9mm. Nothing special was done to the standard weapon except the chamber and red nine grips.
Both weapons work fine in 9mm and my Tok has never jammed.
ADDENDUM: They also changed the rear sight on the Mauser.0 -
I'll try to hitch a ride on this thread !!I've got a 9mm Norinco that has a spacer in the MAG WELL , not in the MAG.
If anyone has a tip, please let me know.
All my first ideas for vendors all crapped out, and I would really like to get a few extra mags.

Just thought I'd mention. There are some up for auction here. 0 -
all the ones currently on auction are the spacer in magwell type 0 -
The magwell spacer is crosspinned in place with a loose fitting pin under the grips.
You may find the holes in the one you buy don't align so you have to clamp the spacer in place and drill through frame and spacer.
Did you check with Gunparts in West Hurley NY? I can't imagine much demand for that part so I'd be surprised if they don't have it.0
