i HAVE A FRENCH MODEL 1873 REVOLVER ( CAMELOT DELVIGNE )THAT DOSE NOT SEEM TO MATCH THE MARKINGS I SEE ON THE WEB PHOTOS -- IT IS SUTTERLIN MARKED WITH A ST ETIENNE ONE LINE MARK -- NO SERIAL NUMBER SHOWING ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE GUN -- THE NUMBER D86 ON ALL PARTS AND AS YOU CAN SEE 2886 ON THE GRIP FRAME AND A Z9 ON THE LOWER GRIP STRAP -- I THINK THE 2886 IS THE SERIAL NUMBER -- WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS -- THANK YOU -- RICK[img][/img]

  Probably made for commercial sale, if it doesn't have the model on top of the barrel, and date of manufacture on the right side. It was common in Europe to have gun dealers names actually marked on the guns they sold. Perhaps "Sutterlin" was a dealer.
