How do you dispose of spent primers?
Can they be recycled, or do they just go in the trash?

I put mine in an old peanut butter jar. Every once in a while I look at it and say, Wow that's a lot of primers. I'm on my second jar.[:D] 0 -
I just throw mine in the trash, as long as they are "spent" primers.
If you only have a jar full, you don't reload much. The saying goes you need a 5 gallon bucket of .45 ACP spent primers before you really learn how to shoot the gun. I'm working on my 2nd (or 3rd) bucket and I still don't understand that 1911.0 -
They recycle quite nicely. Some metal dealers will swap them for lead instead of cash, also. 0 -
They are brass, recycle them with your bad cases, buy more ammo! 0 -
I sell mine at the junk yard. When I took in 20# of spent primers, the guy asked where I got so many. I told I wasn't nearly done and would have that many more next spring. 0 -
I save mine and put them in a shot bag and use um for sand bags. not as heavy and same purpose. 0 -
I recycle, but I like the "sand bag" idea, too!!!
BTW, I use coffee cans to save them in.0 -

I've got a 5 gal bucket full of 209's, & 2 gal of .22 brass I need to take in. If the guy will trade for lead, that would be great. I can feed the lead to my shot maker. 0 -
I take them to the scrap yard with my other reject brass. 0 -
LEAD Styphnate, MERCURY Fulminate, DDNP.
These are the active chemicals within your Primers, Used or New.
Not sure I would have a "SandBag" filled with used Primers!
I dispose of them by double wrapping the (Small Size!)Mayonnaise Jar I put mine in (Plastic!), and put in Trash.0
