Pillar Bedding vs. Glass Bedding

i want to try to achieve the best accuracy out of my Wea. 257 mag. I can't decide. Laminated wood with glass bedding or composite with pillar bedding. Any suggestions.

  Glass bedding helps but does nothing for the action screws with swelling or shrinking of the wood. Glass bedding behind the recoil lug keeps the action tight to the stock when recoil or humidity changes the wood. Pillar bedding will not be affected by humidity or recoil on the action screws since they are tight to the pillars and metal of the receiver, not on the stock. In either case the recoil lug should be glassed so recoil doesn't compress the wood.

  Be aware that stress-free bedding is one step on the path to accuracy but it not an end unto itself. You might realize some improvement but there are other problems with most rifles that need to be addressed in order to get the most from that rifle.
  
  Bedding along with the pillars is implicit to the task. I pillar bed everything with Marine-Tex no matter what the stock is made from. There is no reason not to in my opinion. The material cost is little and the time invested is not much either as long as you have the skills to accomplish the task correctly. A botched pillar job is as bad as no bedding at all.
