    The crown over R is a Belgian black powder proofmark. Also look on rear face of the cylinder for the Liege, Belgium ELG in an oval proofmark. The crown over AL may be a mark of Auguste Lebeau, one of the better Liege makers.

    Ah-Ha...Yes there is crown attached to an oval with an E over LG on the cyclinder. Above is a star and AL. Is this piece worth anything or just another old British revolver? Overall good condition with grips in excellent condition. Thanks again

    It's a Belgian revolver, not British. The crown on the oval indicates made 1893-1914. Value not high, and depends on caliber and quality; post some pics.
