Old foreign revolver I.D. help
Looks at first glance like a British Bulldog. Has a crown,R, a star and AL stamp. Rather big bore with deep grooves. Bottom of butt has ring attached. Thanks

The crown over R is a Belgian black powder proofmark. Also look on rear face of the cylinder for the Liege, Belgium ELG in an oval proofmark. The crown over AL may be a mark of Auguste Lebeau, one of the better Liege makers. 0 -
Ah-Ha...Yes there is crown attached to an oval with an E over LG on the cyclinder. Above is a star and AL. Is this piece worth anything or just another old British revolver? Overall good condition with grips in excellent condition. Thanks again 0 -

It's a Belgian revolver, not British. The crown on the oval indicates made 1893-1914. Value not high, and depends on caliber and quality; post some pics.0
