Colt D.O.M. & value?

I have a Colt 1911 that I am looking for a DOM.

Also, I will be selling it for my client if the price is right... What is it worth? Prices seem to fluctuate quite a bit & I am not sure why.

Another question, Does the slide look like a different finish?

  Mismatched slide to frame . Incorrect small parts we need to see what markings are on barrel . If original WW I barrel the barrel is worth something . I would say parts 350.00 + and pistol as shooter $400.00 - $500.00 Frame if I am reading serial number right is 1918

  I will try...You have a WWII frame (model 1911) and a post war slide Model 1911A1)
  
  I cannot identify the frames maker. But the frames grip safety and hammer were from a Model 1911A1 and not original to the frame.
  
  An expert may come along shortly and ID the frame and it's DOM.
  
  The slide is parkerized and the frame blued.
  
  The parts are mismatched and would be considered a shooter.
  
  Value ??..........my guess would be $500-600 my .02 cents

  I agree with Perry Shooter.
  
  The frame is a 1918 Colt "black army", really a dark blue finish over a rough polish; the finish is quite delicate (the reason it was discontinued), but it has been mostly rubbed off of this one. You can see traces remaining in the protected areas.
  
  As the guys point out, a mixed parts gun will not bring a high price.

  EDIT: The chances of finding the correct slide with original finish with an amount of wear that matches your frame, plus an original barrel & mainspring housing, are somewhere between slim & none.

  Thanks everyone for the helpful info, hoping I may be able to pick this up for myself...
  
  Only problem is many people around here in NM are collectors & not so many are aware of handguns that aren't original so my client may want/get too much for it locally... shall see, I would enjoy having it!
  
  Would it cost much to get the correct slide for it to make it original?

  You also would need to change grips, hammer spring housing and grip safety to 1911 style.
