sweet 16
What would a 1988 unfired sweet 16 be worth ?
No mark of any kind. No box. Still has factory
Grease in the gun. I see guns like this that has
been fired listing for $1500 or so.

Hello.
I have been holding on to my
brothers A5 sweet 16 and now
he wants to sell it.
DOM is 1960.
Cosmetically it is in good condition,
Except for the fact he had a smithy
drill and tap the receiver for
a scope (side mount).
So question is : If we consider this
shotgun in good condition how
much money has he lost from the alterations?
Thanks-Ron0 -
$200.00[:(]
EDIT I did not state that the gun was only worth $200.00 I was just saying that depending on condition the gun may be still worth more then that only that the value would be reduced buy $200.00 a mint in the Box sweet 16 without drilled hole could be wort $1000.00 thus same condition one MIGHT still be worth $800.00 but a good condition one with drilled holes maybe $300.000 -
Thanks Karl.
My brother put a scope on
for those long shots 20-40 yds.
What a meatball.0 -
Sounds like a opportunity... 0 -
I would think you could get more than 200 for it, my experience is that people like to bid on guns that have been modified because they think they can get them for real cheap.
I'll add that I'm sure there's someone out there that wants (or at least wouldn't mind) a sweet 16 with a scope mount.0 -
Barrel worth 150 wood worth 125-150 IN GOOD shape no cracks..go from there. 0 -
Thanks guys, he has no
money and wants it fast
so no aution. We're gonna
take a ride to Kittery
and sell it.0 -

Man! You posted one hour after Perry clarified his $200 deduct response! As a fellow Newbie, I learned right off to read all previous responses before I say anything. These guys will line up to take a turn on a Newbie screw-up![}:)]0 -

A man with obvious experience -300+ posts- vs a "Newbie" with 200+
posts would give the guy a chance and let it slide.[;)]0 -

Now I'm confused, how is 5:38 when I posted, an hour after 8:49 when he clarified his post?0 -
I wonder what the barrel length and choke are on the shotgun, I want a 16 ga., well probably will never know. 0 -
If the gun was mine,
I auction it off but my
brother needs quick cash
and so it goes tomorrow.
I think it was a loose full choke.
Right now it's wearing a Lupy and
a RS barrel0 -

If that is a Belgian RS barrel, then that is worth 200++ depending on condition itself. The gun is worth $450.00-500.00 the way it sits. Since he is your bro, then %300.00 sounds fair[;)]
