Browning 1922 Pistol Grip Safety

Must hold the grip safety in to cock the pistol? It's an A140 in 7.65 # 12722C

  I just verified on mine and I do agree. The grip safety needs to be pushed in order for the pistol to cock. The slide will go all the way back, but the pistol will not cock unless the grip safety is held in.
