Parker Checkering
These are pictures of a Parker VH 16 gauge that has been refinished many years ago. My question is, is this original checkering? I've not seen any lower models with checkering on this part of the gun, only higher grade ingraved guns.
Thanks in advance for your help.

It's hard to say but there are too many run-overs. Looks like the checkering was done by an a novice. 0 -
Absolutely not Parker work!
That was "Bubba's" attempt to hide the poor job he did of repairing the cracked stock.0 -
Bert,
I sort of thought so, these are pictures of another Parker, a Trojan that hasn't been messed with. I can see a big differance.

Thanks for the good post and good photos of the good and the bad . . . apparent, one to the other. 0 -
Your welcome Allen, I'm trying to sort these 2 Parkers out. Both are 16 gauge on 16 gauge frames, one has been redone at some point, the other is original. There is a welth of knowledge to learn about these shotguns, I'm trying to get everything right befor I list them.
