Identify this Garand ? Part

    I can say with absolute certainty that it is not a part for the M1 Rifle. I will also say that it does not look like any ordnance tool that I have ever seen for the M1, but tools are a specialized area and not one that I am interested in.

    My War Dept base shop manual shows a number of tools specifically designed for the M1 rifle, but nothing that looks like that.

    mcasco I am not positive about it being Garand but a tag on an operating rod was very similar. I thought this looked like a shell stop for some shotgun!
