WWII German MG-131 Messerschmidt Barrel

I am trying to find out the approximate value of a WWII Messerchmidt MG-131 Barrel with heat shield. So far, I can not find any other areas online that discuss these barrels in terms of collector value. Can anyone guide me in the right direct to find an approximate value range?

  Is it in 8mmx57 and stellite lined?
  
  edit: Maybe the folks at the Air and Space Museum in DC have a card file for german aircraft restores.

  jasonWVB....welcome the GB forum and thanks for your question. Not a real market for this kind of a barrel as the MG-131 was mainly an aircraft barrel for a variety of planes such as later models of the Bf-109 and FW 190. It typcially replaced the smaller and less effective MG 17 7.92 which had a difficult time in bringing down large Allied bombers...(German pilots typically called the MG 17 "door knockers!) You might look for some folks who are restoring those planes and see if they need a barrel for their work. You should note that the gun was not made by Messerschmidt but rather by Rheinmettal-Borsig (who also made the MK108 30mm). For those who need a 13mm barrel it would be invaluable and a "must have" but finding that person/need is going to take some work. Hope this helps.

  Try the Commemorative Air Force, formerly the Confederate Air Force in Texas.
  They should have a website and might have leads.
