win 96 expert

Hi guys can anyone tell me if the butt stock from a win 101 will fit on the receiver of a win 96 expert. My 96 has a cracked stock and I cant find a replacement. I have found 101 stocks but no stocks for the 96.I know it's the poor man's 101 so I wonder when win. made the 101 if they used the same stile recerver for the 96. Thanks

  I would ASSUME they would fit. I believe the only difference between the 96 and 101 was the engraving.
