8 point down- not a bowkill, rifle

Just wanted to share a few pics of a nice 8 I got yesterday up at the farm. My bow season was slow and I never even drew on a deer. Yesterday was opening day for rifle here in Virginia and I was able to get this nice 8. He is a young deer with a black face and a black tail. I shot him behind a soybean field and I guess the high protein soybeans helped him grow this rack. I pulled him up out of the bottom with the Rokon. I've hauled 3 out with it this year. It has saved my back.

  Nice buck with lots of mass on the antlers. Appears to be some mighty fine eating there. The black ends are really graphic.
