Laser Bore Sighter

I was watching a dvd on hunting when the hunter held up what looked like a cartridge from the firearm and said. "I always check the sighting of my rifle after arriving with a Accusight"
Do they actually make a laser sighting device specific to the calibre of your rifle? If so where can I purchase one for my 300Win as the rubber ended universal one I have is not as good as I would expect for checking my sights in the field?

  Need some feedback.Good, bad, so so.

  Depends on the local weather, etc. The new green laser ones are easier to see in brighter conditions further away.
  
  Mostly though, they are good for getting you on target left/right... elevation you'll need to make adjustments....

  They do the job they are designed to do. I use a LaserLyte (I think that is the name) to sight in everything upon receipt. With the exception of a couple of rifles that had muzzle brakes, it got me on paper at 100 yards.

  Gadgets are great fun to play with and some actually save some time and effort occasionally. But the laser bore sighters are no better than the most basic of techniques, the MkI eyeball. I use this term as it came from one of our members, p3skyking, I think.
  
  Make sure that the scope is aligned with the rifle properly first. This will save using all of your 'clicks' to get on target if it isn't square first. Put the rifle in a rest as you would with the laser. Level the rifle and look down the bore at a target approximately 25 yards. Square the scope to the target as seen through the bore.
  
  This takes just a couple of minutes and I'm usually about 2" outside the bullseye with virtually every rifle I sight in. Some have been scary close on some occasions.
  
  The really good part is the lack of cost for the gadget and NO batteries to run down when you least expect them to go.
