POI shift question

I have a Rem 7400 in 30-06 with a Barska scope on it.
The first shot is always 2"high, the second is dead nuts, and the subsequent shots are in cutting the same holes but ~1" low.
Let it set for 15 mins and it does it again.

I touched the barrel after each shot and it never felt hot, only a tad warm. but I touced the barrel after 15 mins and it feels about the same temp as after firing 5 shots.

I can't figure it out, everything is tight, my handloads are consistent (5-10FPS extreme spread depending on temp)
I would chalk it up to the barrel heating up if the shots were going everywhere but the consistency after the 2nd shot has me perplexed. Any ideas?

  Are you cleaning the bore at all between strings?
  Do you have a sling swivel on the barrel which might be contacting the front rest after the first couple of shots?
  The scope is not one to put a lot of faith in but if this is a consistant sequence over a period of time, the scope is not likely the culprit.

  It is a two piece stock autoloader? I'd say its doing really good. Try single shoting ie don't let it feed from the mag and see how it does. Oiled bore rounds always go high for me.
  
  edit: I was wondering if it has anything to do with the gentel closing of the bolt on the first round vs slamming on the following rounds during the autoloading cycle. 5 rounds might be too many for a thin bbl, try some 3 shot group.

  Not cleaning between strings.
  It has a sling swivel but the swivel just replaces the screw that holds the forearm on.
  I haven't tried single shot loading but all rounds, including the first get fed from the mag

  I believe the russian SVT Tokerav had that same problem. I do not know of any fix for it. The first round heats up everthing and tightens everthing up.

  when I put the first one in I pull the bolt all the way back and let it slam home.
  I don't know that a 3 shot would be any different. My gun holds 4 and that's what my shot groups usually are. THere is usually 10-15secs between shots and I put another clip full thru to check the consistancy
