winchester model 38

My friend has a win model 38 1n 12 ga, and according to Henshaws book on the history of winchester firearms 6th edition page 110 the shotgun was supposed to be a hammerless version of the 37 or 37-A. The article also mentions it never went into production and only a few samples produced. I'm wondering how valuable it might be. My friend also has a 37-A made by Cooey in Canada, but instead of being a shotgun it's a rifle in 22 hornet or 218 bee, because there's nothing stamped on the barrel. My friend was told it was a salesman's sample

  The Model 38 is potentionally a quite valueable gun. Can you post some pictures of it?
  
  I do not know anything about a Model 37A rifle.
