Any falling block action experts here
Found an old falling block action in a box of parts I bought at an auction. Can't identify it. Looks similar to a Stevens favorite but it isn't. Has top tang but no bottom tang. Mainspring attached to top tang. Barrel(which I dont have) threads in instead of sliding in like favorite. Think it may be an old Remington.
Can't figure how to post pictures here, but can send pictures.
Any help out there?

Both Remington (Mod. 6) and Stevens (Mod 14-1/2) made falling block guns. Need pictures.
There is a picture of a Remington model 6 on my web site www.billdeshivs.com under "Embellishment."0 -
You turned a sow's ear into a silk purse. Nice job. 0 -

Sounds like a Remington Number 4. Look like this?
