  Thompson Center makes a splendid little break open 22LR caliber rifle just for youngsters. It is available in pink too. It is called the Hot Shot.

  First of all, any gun with a synthetic finish could be made pink with an aftermarket Duracoat refinish. If the gun can take aftermarket grips, there is a pretty good chance you can find (or easily create) pink ones.

  thank you very much for the info. my idea was to find a ugly but serviceable 22 rifle for a few dollars an have a friend in a body shop paint the stock pick with car paint. but i will look into the newer guns on the market thanks mike

  Having worked my way thru teaching 4 granddaughters to shoot- much more important than the color- be sure the stock fits the young lady. The Cricket and some of the others are scaled down to fit a youngun.
  
  And you did not ask for advice, but since I am running off at the mouth, a single shot bolt action or break action is a good first rifle. One shot at a time, and you can tell if it is loaded or not real quick.
