Top 5 sporter 22 rimfire bolt rifles for accuracy
Im looking for an accurate sporter weight 22 rifle. Id set a price limit of about $500.00 Used rifles would be acceptable. What are the experts favorites?

I have a Ruger 77-22 and a 77-22WRM, both are great rifles, shoot straight and function fine.

Steve: Winchester Models 69/69A, and Ruger 10/22. You still can get both for about half of $500 but a good 69/69A is going up in price, and will go up in value. 0 -
Kimber 22 Rifle, tops out of the box, though with a bit of tweeking (bedding and trigger work) my old 77/22 did almost as good for a lot less bucks. It took a good day on a rock solid rest over sand bags for me to prove the difference. Also have a Kimber of Oregon 82 that is tops for accuracy. Used accuracy bargain so far is a Mauser bolt action that's butt ugly and shoots like a dream. Either of the Kimbers will hold 5 shots inside a dime circle at 50 yards. An unmodified 10/22 that I just sold would do the same, but that's not a bolt,so...
