anyone know where i can get a side plate and maybe a stock for a single shot break open external side hammered shotgun made by bacon arms co norwich conn.

  Bacon Arms Company was a "Trade Brand Name" used by the Crescent Fire Arms Company of Norwich,CT (1892 to 1931) on guns they made for and were sold by the H & D Folsom Company of New York City, a large wholesale and retail sporting goods dealer. As an aside, Folsome owned Crescent and whatever Folsom wanted Crescent made. And what they wanted was a lot of inexpensive shotguns fast. My reference book shows an illustration of a Crescent Model 4 1898 Side Hammer that was made in 12 gauge with 30 and 32 inch twist barrels. It was made from 1892 to 1898. I would say you have two chances of finding any parts for an alt least 103 year old gun, slim and none. But stranger things have happened, Constantly monitor the various gun and parts auctions and E-bay. Never know what might show up. One other place is Dixie Gun Works. They sell generic hammers and one might be modified to fit.
