Winchester 1886 rifle caliber ??

Would anyone know what the caliber of a Winchester 1886 rifle with serial #52243 was? I have some original parts and the lower trigger tang has that number.

  The only way to find out is contact the Cody Firearms Museum research office and have them look it up for you. Unfortunately, if you are not a member, it will cost you $60.
